Kinship means family. That is what we are, a group of players who will be there for one another through thick and thin.
Mission Statement:
The Children of Hurin is an end game raiding kin; all of our goals are to that end. We will assist in leveling and questing with newer players to advance them to the goal of raiding.
Qualifications:
We are a kinship of adults who like to have fun with one another. We are looking for members that are 18+ years old, mature and fun. We prefer to have people who would like to work as part of a team and commit some time to align their personal goals with the goals of the kinship. Your character level and class are secondary to your ability to contribute to the kin.
Conduct, Expectations and Obligations:
Cursing There is no place for cursing in any kinship. Sure we all slip a curse when we get killed or are frustrated but when it becomes excessive or frequent, the member will be warned or kicked. Improper etiquette only brings a negative and hostile atmosphere to the kinship environment and should be avoided. Cursing should never be seen on any community or global chat. Furthermore, many of your older members may have children near by or watching. My recommendations are to keep it PG 13 in a group setting and anything goes in private.
Foul Play Members who actively perform activity for the sole purpose to ruining another's gaming fun will be warned or kicked. Such activities such as monster pulling, teleporting one to a hazardous zone, camping a spawning area in PvMP, and cheating have no role in the kinship setting. This type of foul play only brings a negative impact to the hard work we put forth.
Stalking/Sexual Harassment/Misconduct of Sexual Nature Members who engage in any harassment behavior of a sexual nature will be kicked out immediately. Our kinship has no room for any predators, perverts or stalkers of any nature. Not only does it negatively impact on our kinship's public image and reputation, it also will cause an increase number of member departures from our kinship if this type of behavior is tolerated. We will be firm with anyone misbehaving in this particular aspect and to deal with the matter privately and swiftly before it becomes a big issue.
Game Activity Members that are part of our kinship should be actively playing the game. Without active players, our kinship is as good as dead. All members that are inactive for 15 days will be demoted to recruit and any member inactive for 30 days will be kicked with the exception of a reasonable excuse.
Kinship Activity There is nothing more sad than a kinship with its members not playing with each other. What would be the point of being in the same kinship if there is no teamwork and cooperation? Therefore, it is vital to expect all our kin members to team and play together for a majority of the time. Members are also obligated to attend as many scheduled kin events, tasks and raids as they can. Kin events takes a lot of time and planning. The least our members can do is show up. Those who display a pattern of kinship inactivity will be warned or kicked.
Website Activity Each member needs to register their character(s) on the roster of the webpage and maintain accurate information. A member will not receive full kinship status until their characters are registered. This does several thing for management of the kinship. 1. It will force a link between user names and characters. 2. It will allow us to track progress and participation of our membership. 3. The roster will be more complete and look better for recruiting.
I know many of you are out there that say, "Why do I have to do this? Why can't I just play the game?" I would like to respond by saying that this website is our first line of communication for our membership. There are a lot of neat tools here that can help you play the game better. This is a place for you to communicate with one another and create activites and events. This website will help you organize your play time so you can spend more time DOING runs instead of FINDING groups to do the runs. |
